The Montgomery Biscuits stopped the Biloxi Shuckers by a score of 8-4 at MGM Park, with the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Luis Ontiveros. The 23-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Ontiveros said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Ontiveros did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Shuckers.

"Not much that I can say," offered Biloxi manager Hiram Bocachica. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Luis Ontiveros singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

This year, Ontiveros has batted at a .286 pace with 93 hits, 12 home runs, 46 RBIs and scored 36 times.
