Yankees Lose By a Run at Washington
|
The Washington Nationals had to overcome a big game from New York shortstop Hans Montero to leave Nationals Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-5. Montero was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Dylan Lee recorded the save, his 6th. The Washington win streak is now 3 games.
Bryce Blaser had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fourth for Washington. With a runner on 3rd and the Nationals leading 5-2, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Blaser.
