Marlins Victorious at Boston, 2-0
|
Fenway Park featured a tense pitchers' duel.
Sam Clark pitched a gem to lead Miami to victory over the Boston Red Sox, 2-0. Clark, now 3-1, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing no runs.
Jesse Franklin V, who is on pace for 108 RBI this season, had a direct impact on the outcome. Franklin V contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Miami up, 2-0.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Franklin V said.
With the win, the Marlins have a record of 19-26.
