Athletics Turn Back Brewers, 4-2

The Oakland Athletics converted a terrific effort from starter Christian Foutch into a win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Oakland Coliseum. The Athletics won the game by a final score of 4-2. In 5.2 innings, Foutch surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Chris McKenzie picked up the save for Oakland, his 2nd of the year.
The Athletics had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 4-2, Oakland, with no one out. Milwaukee, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Jackson Chourio dug in at the plate, but on a 0-1 fastball, he hit into a double play.
The Athletics now have a record of 23-19.
