Rockies Victors, 5-4, at Minnesota
|
Colorado and Minnesota duked it out and the Rockies came out victorious.
The Colorado Rockies scored a tight, 5-4 win versus the Minnesota Twins at Target Field. Colorado pitcher Nabil Crismatt held his own in the contest. Crismatt picked up the win for Colorado, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. The save went to Juan Mejia, number 9 for him.
Colorado used the hitting of Yonathan Daza to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rockies on top, 5-3. For the game, Daza had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Crismatt.
The first-place Rockies go to 24-16.
