Loss to Astros Extends Boston Losing Streak
The losses keep piling up for the Boston Red Sox.

Houston beat Boston on the strength of starting pitcher Sam McCrum's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 9-1. With their winning streak at 4, the Astros have raced to a strong start this season.

Houston won the game in part because of Luis Solorzano. The center fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Astros ahead, 9-1. For the game, Solorzano had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"This game will humble you at times and you've got to buck up and deal with it," said Boston manager Ben Kamens.
