Puebla-Monterrey Trade: Aguilera for Melgarejo

The Pericos and Sultanes announced a deal that was completed today. Puebla sent 29-year-old LF Eric Aguilera and 22-year-old RHP Juan Gabriel Alvarado to Monterrey for 33-year-old LHP Thomas Melgarejo and 22-year-old 1B Kevin Zamudio. Both teams appear happy with the outcome of the trade. The general managers told the Baseball News Network they felt the swap was beneficial for all parties involved.
In his all-time stats Aguilera is hitting .290 with 201 hits, 30 home runs, 123 runs scored and 122 RBIs.
In 350 appearances Melgarejo boasts a 23-18 career record with a 4.82 ERA. He has been credited with a save 2 times and opponents have a batting average of .286 against him.

Dos Laredos Tecolotes Ship Rodriguez to Union Laguna

The Dos Laredos Tecolotes have made a deal sending 28-year-old C Arturo Rodriguez to the Union Laguna Algodoneros for 30-year-old RHP Aldo Montes. Both sides are said to be pleased with the way the trade worked out.
Looking at his career numbers, Rodriguez has played in 391 games with a .316 batting average. Among his 405 hits are 75 doubles, 4 triples and 48 home runs. He also has scored 162 runs and driven in 220 runs.
Montes has pitched in 154 games over his career, posting no saves and a 32-45 won-lost mark. He has registered an ERA of 5.96, logged 539 innings and recorded 387 strikeouts.

Durango-Campeche Trade: Gonzalez for Burruel

The Generales and the Piratas finalized a deal this afternoon. Durango has traded for 28-year-old C Sergio Burruel and 24-year-old LF Christian Navarro and in return Campeche will receive 36-year-old RF Santiago Gonzalez and 19-year-old 3B Saul Favela.
In his career Gonzalez is batting .297 with 1421 hits, 281 doubles, 21 triples and 98 home runs.
For his career Burruel has batted .275 and hit 18 home runs.
