Ben Bittle Chosen GCL's Best Player
Sunday, October 8th , 2045
He may have less experience than most of his Gulf Coast Rookie League peers, but that didn't slow Ben Bittle down at all in 2045.

At the age of 20, the Toronto (GCL) center fielder has been named the winner of the Gulf Coast Rookie League Most Valuable Player Award.

He had a .363 batting average and a .433 on-base percentage this year. In 55 games he piled up 74 hits, 9 doubles, 3 triples, 8 home runs, 33 RBIs and 30 runs scored.

"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."

He received 3 first place votes out of a possible 20. Omar bin Faris of the Minnesota (GCL) Twins finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Kevin Heafner of the Philadelphia W (GCL) Phillies West finished third with 2 first place votes.
