The spotlight today is on Jon Williams of the Quad Cities River Bandits. He was named the top pitcher in the Midwest League and will be honored with the 2046 Outstanding Pitcher Award.

Williams compiled an impressive 12-5 won-lost mark to capture this year's honor. In 153.2 innings of work and 26 starts, the River Bandits star struck out 121, while giving up 151 hits and 49 walks. He limited opposing batters to a .258 average.

He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 16. Ben Howard of the Quad Cities River Bandits finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Alex Hayes of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers finished third with 2 first place votes.
