Elrod Belts Bunch of Base Hits Saturday, May 19th , 2046 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Eddie Elrod of the Arkansas Travelers had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate in his team's 5-4 win over the Midland RockHounds at Dickey-Stephens Park. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 22-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Eddie Elrod walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 14th.
