The TEX's Best Player: Eric Johnson
Wednesday, October 4th , 2045
The best could still be yet to come for Eric Johnson of the Tulsa Drillers, and that's the scary part.
At the age of only 25, the ace pitcher has accomplished a major feat, being named the 2045 Texas League Most Valuable Player Award winner.
His breakthrough campaign saw him put up a 1-1 record, while pitching 25.1 innings, with 17 strikeouts and 7 walks, for a 5.33 ERA. Johnson was tough on hitters all season long, as they only put up a .282 batting average against him.
"I had a lot of fun this season," the young talent said.
He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Dave Williamson of the Tulsa Drillers finished second in voting, while Cesar Trujillo of the Tulsa Drillers finished third.
