Bernhardt Gives Midland Goose Eggs
The Midland RockHounds were almost helpless in their 14-0 loss to the Tulsa Drillers and hurler Zach Bernhardt. Bernhardt kept the RockHounds confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to Bernhardt," Midland manager Dylan Axelrod said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 22-year-old right-hander had 3 walks and 4 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Bernhardt said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."

This year, Bernhardt has fashioned a 6-3 mark, 5.04 ERA and pitched 75 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .326 against him and he has logged 54 strikeouts.
