Quigley Tosses 6-0 Shutout
Steve Quigley shut out the Tulsa Drillers, 6-0, on a 3-hit masterpiece for the Amarillo Sod Poodles at ONEOK Field.

"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Amarillo skipper Buck Britton said afterward.

Quigley registered 6 strikeouts and issued no walks in pitching a gem.

"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Tulsa manager L.V. Ware after the defeat.

So far this season, Quigley has a 11-9 record with a 4.03 ERA.
