Branson Shuts Out Houston (GCL), 4-0
All went well for Chris Branson of the Colorado (GCL) Rockies 1 as he pitched his team to a shutout victory, 4-0, over the Houston (GCL) Astros, limiting them to 3 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Branson on the day.

"Chris's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Rockies 1 manager Cole Houser. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."

In the contest, the Colorado (GCL) right-hander rang up 5 and surrendered no walks.

"He didn't give us any second chances," said Astros manager Jose M. Torres. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."

This season, Branson has compiled a 6-1 mark with a 0.55 ERA in 8 starts.
