League Punishes Pair for Fighting Saturday, June 30th , 2040 After an intense confrontation, both the Rockies 2 Luis Saldivar and the Reds Eddy Sandoval were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Colorado (DSL)-Cincinnati (DSL) game. Luis Saldivar will miss 5 games, while Eddy Sandoval was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Luis Saldivar commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This season, Saldivar has hit at a .225 clip with 2 RBIs, 0 home runs and 5 runs scored. He has played in 16 games. |
