Hits Galore: Sosa Drills 5 Hits Saturday, September 28th , 2019 St. Petersburg shortstop Edmundo Sosa had a day to remember, 5-for-5 against the Ft. Lauderdale Threshers at St. Petersburg Grounds as the Oaks picked up a win, 6-3. "He was patient up there," St. Petersburg skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Sosa has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Edmundo Sosa singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this season, Sosa has hit .449 with 17 home runs, 122 RBIs and scored 175 times. |
