SL2's Best Player, Mercedes of Ft. Lauderdale

Sub League 2 pitchers tried and tried all week long to stop Yermin Mercedes, but to no avail.
His eyes would light up when he came to the plate and he hit everything in sight, batting .609 for the week to win the SL2 Player of the Week Award. The Ft. Lauderdale left fielder cracked 14 hits in 23 at-bats, 2 home runs, drove in 7 runs and scored 6 times.
