Harvey Garcia Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year
Friday, June 21st , 2019
The doctors have spoken and Harvey Garcia of the Brownsville Priests didn't like what he heard. The 35-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Garcia sustained his season-ending injury during the Lexington Frozen Ropes game yesterday at Frozen Ropes Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Brownsville medical staff reported Garcia had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months.

Running the numbers on Garcia for the year, he has made 3 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 0-0 won-lost mark with a 0.87 ERA. In pitching 10.1 innings, he has totaled 13 strikeouts and 2 walks.
