Hits Galore: Lugo Drills 5 Hits Tuesday, June 12th , 2018 No matter what the Garland Marauders threw at him, Dawel Lugo hit it. He easily handled Marauders pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Hound Dogs triumph, 9-5, at Marauders Ballpark. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Lugo's quip, Marauders skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Dawel Lugo singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, tripled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. So far this season, Lugo is batting .379 with 6 home runs. |
