Sparks Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, September 6th , 2001 Fontana Sparks manager called today a "dark day" for his club. The Sparks were officially eliminated from playoff contention and will shift their focus to next season. "There are probably worse days in the history of the Fontana Sparks, but right now this feels bad," said. In their 12 seasons in MLB Double A, the Sparks have still yet to qualify for the playoffs. |
