Salt Lake City left fielder Carl Crawford had a big day at Las Vegas Fields today against the Las Vegas Rivermen. The 20-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led the Boomers to a 15-0 triumph over Las Vegas.

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Crawford said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."

Carl Crawford singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jared Fernandez in the 9th.
