Mendez 5-for-7 Against Oak Grove Monday, August 20th , 2001 The El Paso Hound Dogs tripped up the Oak Grove Steelheads 21-0 today. The Hound Dogs were led by Donaldo Mendez, their 23-year-old shortstop. Mendez made life miserable for Oak Grove pitchers all day, tagging them for 5 hits in 7 at-bats.
