Correia Guns Down Red Wings Thursday, September 7th , 2017 It wasn't easy but the Garland Marauders made it look that way. Starter Kevin Correia shut out the Mascouche Red Wings despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Garland Marauders cruised to victory, 3-0. Correia allowed only 7 hits and rang up 14 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." To this point in the season Correia has 2 wins and 3 losses and a 5.46 ERA. |
