Trevino Blisters Colorado Springs Monday, August 21st , 2017 Quincy catcher Jose Trevino had a big day at Devils Ballpark against the Colorado Springs Devils. The 24-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 9-3 Bears triumph over Colorado Springs. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Trevino said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Jose Trevino hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Trevino is batting .365 this year with 7 home runs, 49 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He has 61 hits in 167 at-bats. |
