Bianchi Slams 5 Hits for Knoxville Monday, August 7th , 2017 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Jeff Bianchi -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Halton Hills Grounds and paced the 3-1 Copperheads win over the Halton Hills Chukars. After his dynamite batting performance, the Knoxville third baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 8 tries and put his name in the record book. Jeff Bianchi singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 9th, singled in the 12th, singled in the 13th and struck out in the 16th. In his 2017 season totals, Bianchi has 16 home runs, .344 BA, .385 OBP, 72 RBIs and 74 runs scored. |
