Lawrence Brilliant, Blanks Marauders Sunday, September 9th , 2018 In an outstanding outing, Mariposa Sand Gnats starter Casey Lawrence tamed the Garland Marauders with a 4-hit shutout at Sand Gnats Ballpark. The Mariposa hurler went the distance, finishing with 10 strikeouts and no walks in the 1-0 win. "He had a lot of first-pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to Garland manager . "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today." This season, Lawrence has rung up 5 wins and 5 losses in 12 games. He has an ERA of 4.42 and has fanned 103 batters in 79.1 innings. |
