Klondikes Hermosillo Sizzles with Cycle Tuesday, August 21st , 2018 Essex Junction's Michael Hermosillo accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Hermosillo finished 5-for-5 with 2 runs batted in and 4 runs scored and helped the Klondikes knock off the Salt Lake City Boomers, 10-7, at Ballpark of Essex Junction. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Hermosillo told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Michael Hermosillo singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Cionel Perez in the 8th. This season, Hermosillo is batting .326 with 104 hits and 11 home runs. He has scored 72 times and has 44 RBI. |
