Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for Knoxville Friday, August 17th , 2018 Anthony Gose said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" for the Knoxville Copperheads after they missed the MLB Double A playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately ran out of games to secure a postseason spot and were eliminated from contention today. Knoxville last appeared in the postseason in 2016. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 18 times in their 29-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Copperheads have missed the playoffs 4 times. |
