Charlotte's Garlick Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Tuesday, July 24th , 2018 Kyle Garlick of the Huskies was unstoppable in his team's 13-9 victory over the Montgomery Clowns at Clowns Ballpark. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Charlotte left fielder after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Kyle Garlick doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This year, Garlick is batting .405 with 5 home runs. He has scored 23 runs and driven in 31. |
