2017 SL2 Pitcher of the Year Award Chosen Saturday, October 21st , 2017 A.J. Griffin of the Yonkers Cyclones fired on all cylinders in 2017 and dominated Sub League 2 batters. For his superb season he has been selected the Pitcher of the Year Award winner. During the year Griffin compiled a 16-4 record, a 2.74 ERA and 222 strikeouts while working 210.1 innings. He received 20 first place votes out of a possible 26. Jace Fry of the Shreveport Rangers finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Jonathon Niese of the Phoenix Seahawks finished third. Player - Team - First Place - Total Points A.J.
