Downs Earns SL2 Player of the Week

It was an extraordinary week for Matt Downs of the Sackville Prairie Dogs. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .524, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Sub League 2. Last week Downs went 11-for-21, racked up 4 home runs and 13 RBIs and scored 5 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Sackville first baseman.
Downs has a .245 average and a .310 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 68 hits, 13 home runs and driven in 58 runs.
