Ambassadors Torpedoed by Williams in 6-0 Loss to Rochester Thursday, August 17th , 2017 Jerome Williams shut out the Omaha Ambassadors, 6-0, on a 5-hit masterpiece for the Rochester Zips at Ballpark of Rochester. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Rochester skipper said afterward. Williams registered 10 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in pitching a gem. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Omaha manager after the defeat. This season, Williams has crafted a 7-9 mark with a 4.04 ERA in 138 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .271 against him and he has 116 strikeouts. |
