Hit Streak for Newman Reaches 20 Saturday, August 12th , 2017 Kevin Newman collected 2 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Phoenix Seahawks, beat the Rochester Zips, 5-1. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Newman quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Kevin Newman hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th.
