Difo Sensational, 5-for-5 Wednesday, August 9th , 2017 After a 5-hit effort to lead Rochester's 12-7 victory over the Clearwater Arsenal, shortstop Wilmer Difo told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the MLB Triple A-level is really something special." The 25-year-old player earned his accolades at Ballpark of Rochester with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Arsenal. "His swing is getting there," said Zips skipper , who spoke glowingly of Difo after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Wilmer did that to perfection." Wilmer Difo singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. Currently Difo is hitting .300 and has collected 4 home runs, 28 RBIs and scored 33 times, while playing in 61 games. |
