He hurled the Yonkers Cyclones to a 4-0 shutout victory, yielded 2 hits and chalked up 13 strikeouts and 4 walks. "A complete-game shutout is fun territory for me," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I had good balance and mechanics and was able to keep the ball down. When I do that, good things happen." In 17 starts this year, Griffin has recorded a 10-2 record and a 2.60 ERA. |
