Toussaint Shuts Out Hampton Wednesday, August 15th , 2018 It wasn't easy but Touki Toussaint made it look that way. Toussaint silenced the Hampton Rainiers, 7-0, in a Raleigh Shorebirds triumph at Rainiers Ballpark. Despite the appearance of dominance, Toussaint said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 3 walks and 3 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." This season, Toussaint has rung up 5 wins and 4 losses in 12 games. He has an ERA of 3.79 and has fanned 104 batters in 90.1 innings. |
