2059 WL Best Player, Bloemfontein's McGivern
Tuesday, November 4th , 2059
The manager of the Bloemfontein Sea Turtles said he thinks Jordan McGivern is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 26, but it will be hard to top the shortstop's 2059 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Western League Most Valuable Player Award.
His winning campaign featured a .333 batting average and a .462 on-base percentage this year. In 137 games he piled up 159 hits, 37 doubles, no triples, 17 home runs, 81 RBIs and 90 runs scored.
He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 12. Kinfu Nyuni of the Krugersdorp Blue Jays finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Teferi Nizam of the Cape Town Lords finished third.
