Playoffs? No Chance for Lakewood Sunday, August 11th , 2058 Jan Juarez said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" for the Lakewood BlueClaws after they missed the Single A Baseball playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately ran out of games to secure a postseason spot and were eliminated from contention today. The BlueClaws have missed the playoffs 29 times in their 39 years as a Single A Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 4th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2054. In the last 10 seasons, the BlueClaws have missed the playoffs 6 times. Lakewood has won the Round 2 5 times in their history. |
