MWL Player of the Week Named Monday, July 5th , 2060 The Player of the Week has been announced by the Midwest League. The award went to Alex Cabral, left fielder of the Peoria Chiefs. He dominated league pitchers with a .560 average to win the honor. Cabral went 14-for-25 for the week, totaled 2 home runs with 6 RBIs and scored 6 times.
