Gallardo Wins EL's Best Bat Award Sunday, August 1st , 2060 When Jordan Gallardo stepped up to the plate in July he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Eastern League Batter of the Month award. The young New Hampshire first baseman posted a .440 batting average with 5 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 24 runs. Gallardo also worked pitchers for 24 walks to post a .584 on-base percentage. This season, Gallardo is hitting .366 with 67 hits, 15 home runs, 43 RBIs, scored 47 runs and played in 57 games. |
