Fightin Phils Etue to Miss Year Sunday, September 5th , 2055 Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Joe Etue of the Fightin Phils knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Erie SeaWolves while throwing a pitch. Because of a torn meniscus, the Reading reliever is expected to miss 4-5 months. Etue was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen." To date this year, Etue has saved 0 games while tossing 24.2 innings. He has a 3.28 ERA, fanned 11 batters and made 10 relief appearances. |
