Sod Poodles Pitching Ravaged by Olivas Tuesday, August 24th , 2055 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Eric Olivas of the Mississippi Braves had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate in his team's 12-9 win over the Amarillo Sod Poodles at Hodgetown. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 23-year-old catcher told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Eric Olivas hit a solo-shot off Jon Clemons in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 8th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 10th.
