Birmingham Barons Mathematically Out of Playoffs Monday, August 16th , 2055 Not even the most diehard Birmingham Barons fan thought the team had much chance at the playoffs this year. But now even the faintest hopes have been put to rest, as the Barons were mathematically eliminated from the postseason hunt today. The Barons have missed the playoffs 31 times in their 33 years as a Double A Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 16th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2039. Birmingham last won the Round 2 in 2039. |
