Campos Grabs TXSL Top Pitcher Trophy Sunday, August 1st , 2055 In July, Joe Campos tore through the TX/SL like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 22 years old. The young Montgomery starter posted a 4-0 mark and an ERA of 1.71 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 31.2 innings he collected 24 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .225 average. On the season, Campos has compiled a 10-7 mark with a 2.78 ERA in 20 starts. In pitching 116.2 innings he has 65 strikeouts and 30 walks while limiting the opposition to a .265 batting average. |
