The Binghamton Rumble Ponies starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Bowie Baysox and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Carmona was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 14 months. On his stats sheet for the year Carmona shows a 2-5 record, 2 starts, 33.1 innings, 16 strikeouts and a 6.75 ERA. |
