Buchanan Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Saturday, August 6th , 2061 Chris Buchanan's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Reading. The 21-year-old shortstop extended it once again, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 2-for-4 performance against the Richmond Flying Squirrels. The Fightin Phils won the game, 4-3. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Chris Buchanan hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 8th and walked in a run in the 9th. This year, Buchanan is hitting .363 with 82 hits, 10 home runs, 48 RBIs and has scored 38 runs. |
