Wild Card Clinched by Padres Monday, October 4th , 2060 It was no easy task for the San Diego Padres to capture a wild card spot, but the team's players can now breathe easy, knowing they will be a part of the Major League Baseball postseason. "They made us work for it. There aren't many easy games in the National League," said closer Tommy Manders. "We would have liked to have won our way into the playoffs sooner, but we'll take it." The team's record currently sits at 86-76 and they will be vying for the 2nd Major League Baseball championship in franchise history. |
