NL Player of the Week Goes to Steinke of Colorado
Monday, May 10th , 2060
His critics are starting to suggest that Colorado's Bobby Steinke doesn't have much left, but the 35-year-old Steinke prefers not to think that way. He cooked up a remarkable week in the last seven days, topping it off with the Player of the Week Award in the National League.
The veteran second baseman for the Rockies rolled to a .600 average (15-for-25) with 4 home runs and 9 RBIs.
Currently Steinke is hitting .330 and has collected 10 home runs, 33 RBIs and scored 21 times, while playing in 28 games.
