Archibeque and Croft Swapped Monday, July 29th , 2058 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Yankees announced today the acquisition of 29-year old 3B Chris Croft and 30-year old RHP Josh Plasencia from the New York Mets in exchange for 23-year old minor league LHP R.J. Pringle, 25-year old minor league RHP Kevin Gill, 24-year old minor league LF Elias Archibeque, and 25-year old minor league C Joe Chrzan. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Yankees, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." At the moment, Croft is batting .320 with 3 home runs and 50 RBIs.
