Twins Prevail, as Division Series Goes to the Wire
Thursday, October 21st , 2055
The Minnesota Twins were paced by a strong offensive output from Andy Stewart as they downed the New York Yankees 4-3 to win the Division Series.
Minnesota won the final game by a score of 9-5 at Yankee Stadium to send themselves off to the League Championship Series.
"I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said left fielder Stewart, who was named MVP.
For the series, the MVP hit .333 with a .400 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Minnesota Twins will play against the Las Vegas Athletics in the next round. Las Vegas won their series against the Chicago White Sox 4 games to 2. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
